Shekhinah Spiral
Our women's group, Shekhinah Spiral, meets every third Sunday of the month after church for a Potluck Lunch. All women are invited to bring a potluck dish to share with others for lunch. The study and sharing group always welcomes new participants. They would love for you to break bread with them and share in discussion. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Hodges, the group's facilitator, at KathleenEHodges@gmail.com
Shekhinah is a Hebrew word that means "the feminine face of God."
A New Beginning to our Services
At the beginning of each worship service will be highlighting the lighting of the Christ Candle. As the Christ Candle is being lit, the congregation and choir are invited to sing together:
Dona nobis pacem, pacem. Dona nobis pacem
Grant us peace. Grant us peace. Grant us peace on earth, grant us peace.
Dona nobis pacem, pacem. Dona nobis pacem
This is the beautiful song the choir sang throughout the Advent season to get us centered. We will remain seated as we sing. So we will hear the chiming of the hour by the organ...and then we will sing. It will take several Sundays for it to feel comfortable, but we're hoping this will become as meaningful as "Here I Am, Lord" at the close of the service.
Food Pantry
If you ever want to bring canned goods or dry foods to help those in need, please place them on the shelves that are across from the nametag board.
Recycle Aluminum Cans
Remember, we have an aluminum can bin at the back of the church...proceeds go to the renovations.
PARKING
To better organize and use our parking lot to its fullest capacity, parking bumpers have been added to better mark our parking spaces. When using the parking lot on Sunday, we ask that you pull in at the appropriate angle and pull all the way up until your front tire hits the concrete bumper so that cars can make the turns into the parking lot without worry of hitting other cars.
