Membership
Jesus Christ invited people to be his friends and join his mission. Whether you have little or no experience in the Christian faith, or are well traveled on your journey, it is in this spirit that you are invited to consider membership at Asbury Memorial.
Three Easy Steps:
- Speak to a member of our Welcome Team or contact Rev. Hester
Following Sunday worship, members of our Welcome Team can be found at the front of the Sanctuary by the baptismal font. Or, you may contact Rev. Hester at bghester3@comcast.net.
- Attend two orientation and welcoming sessions.
These sessions are held immediately following the 11:15am worship service on Sundays prior to New Member Sunday and last approximately two hours. They provide the opportunity for you to learn about Asbury - the people, programs and outreach - and to meet the ministers, church staff and other new members. Lunch is provided.
- Be present on New Member Sunday when you will be welcomed into membership.
New Members are received three times a year during the 11:15am worship service, generally in September, January and May.
What Is Expected Of You:
- That your heart and mind are open to the leadership of Jesus Christ.
- That you are open to the light, wisdom, and inspiration of the Bible.
- That you will support Asbury Memorial with your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your offerings.
