Small Groups

Welcome! Welcome!

Who: Elderberries! Newberries! Wildberries! Strawberries! Any adults interested!

What: Being a part of a small group

When: October– April (with holiday breaks)

Based on last year’s experience with small groups, we’re gearing up for round two…Last year we were limited to 4 groups meeting on the same night. This year, we’re hoping to have more facilitators, more groups, and more variety of times available. So, we need to hear from you!

Whether you are currently in a small group or not, if you’d like to participate (or continue to participate) in a small group as of October, please print this page and send your information (see below) to Margaret Clay (margaretclay@comcast.net ) or Marilyn Leigh (RevLeigh@comcast.net ) by Sunday, September 11. If you’d prefer, you can snail mail the form to: Margaret Clay (1207 E. 52nd ST, Savannah, 31404)

What is a Small Group?
A small group is a gathering, usually 8-10 people, who meet to offer mutual acceptance, support for one another's goals, and encouragement for life's challenges. They may discuss the Bible, or other book with spiritual focus, to discover truths for their own lives--and to pray for one another. Joining a group entails a commitment to attendance. Groups will meet in homes or at the church.

If you sometimes wonder why you're here, would like to know more about prayer, how to read the Bible, or live your faith day to day, a small group may be helpful. In a small group, it's OK to talk about all of these things with others who are on a similar journey. The chances are that in listening you'll find out who you really are, learn more about who God is, and discover resources that will energize your life.

Yes, I’m interested in being a part of an Asbury small group from Oct – April!
